Johnson and I geared up this morning and prepared for an full day of Canon Bootcamp training taught by director of Indian Gangster and upcoming feature film Flawless Snehal Patel, he also worked on set for “Spider Man 2, Ali, The In-Law and other full length features”. “Mikey Fresh” had to stay back in the office to handle some administrative work on a sunny Saturday morning (good looking out bro!) We started off the morning with the usual meet and greet and to our surprise the students consisted of directors, producers, editors, film students, photographers and staff from ABC’s studios. The classroom was a nice and small group of about sixteen students, creating a more personalized educational environment. The instructor covered the “101′s” on using Canon’s DSLR as a film tool. The basics covered how to use the cameras to produce movie quality productions. After break, we proceeded on set and started filming with an assigned script. I’ll let the photos do the talking.
Instructor/Director, Snehal Patel and our actor, Laureen Trujillo who both gave you “The Eggie Files”.

I would totally recommend this class to anyone on any stage in learning whether you are an amateur, independent film maker, studio staff, or just curious about the capabilities of “new age” film tools.
