As independent cinematographers, it’s always a great pleasure to have the opportunity to work with inspiring individuals. Jin Young a.k.a the Chinaboxer is no different. He has inspired many around the world with his exceptional “Wing Chun” video training lessons, which is offered for free through his Youtube channel. For those of you that aren’t familiar with “Wing Chun”, here’s the short of it:
Wing Chun (Chinese: 詠春; pinyin: yǒng chūn; literally “spring chant”), also romanized as Ving Tsun or Wing Tsun, (and sometimes substituted with the characters 永春 “eternal springtime”[4]); (also known as Snake-Crane style); is a concept-based Chinese martial art and form of self-defense utilizing both striking and grappling while specializing in close-range combat. This past Sunday we had the opportunity to assist Jin on taping his featured instructional DVD.
In the meanwhile as you anticipate for the release of the DVD, take some free lessons from Jin here : http://www.youtube.com/user/chinaboxer
